SUNDAY BEFORE "THE SUNDAY"

Wow!! It's been a month since I last posted and it's not because nothing is happening cause things have happened and are still happening. The last time I wrote was just before Thanksgiving and now it's just before Christmas.
I've heard said even when I was a child that Christmas is too commercial and you know what? It still is. That will never change and I think that is the most stressful things I go through this time of year.
Buying presents is a chore. Now the actual buying of the present is fine, but getting there, fighting the traffic, fighting the pedestrians and also the shoppers. It's nuts out there.
Of course being the planner that I am, I wait till a week before Christmas to do my shopping. I'm not going to be one of "those" that go shopping on Christmas Eve. Been there, done that. Now even a week before is not good.
So my resolve this year is to start in January. My lovely wife suggested I find a box and a space for the box and put the presents in there, maybe even label them as to who I bought this great present.
Sounds like a great plan, but then you gotta realize this is coming from a guy that can go to a store and buy and ice cream bar and not remember it until 5 days later.
So a wonderful idea and I will give it a shot but I have a feeling we will meet here again next year and I again will talk about the commercial part of Christmas and my woes about shopping. Oh! And do have a Merry Christmas!!
