Mental Health Day

Today I took a "mental health day" aka "sick day". This was a spur of the moment decision. I woke up at 6:00, looked at the clock, heard it raining and windy outside and I had to pee. It was at that moment that I decided I needed a "day off". My bosses number is on my speed dial so I call and inform him of my choice for the day. No problem. I go back to sleep. Cuddle next to my lovely wife and............... Fast forward............It is now 10:30. I fell back fast asleep, so I must have needed it. Now what to do with the rest of the day?

Grizzly Adams Rides Again

Ever hear of Grizzly Adams? He was a guy on TV, actually it was a TV show with that name and the guy looked like his name, Grizzly. They called him that cause he had a pet Grizzly Bear who helped defend his mountain from unnecessary predators. I am now the clone of that guy, though my mountain er hill is quite predatory free. Between hair and a beard that desperately needs trimming.
I've often toyed with the idea of just letting it all grow and maybe I'll transform from Grizzly Adams into a ZZ Top. Hmmmmm. It's a thought. Then I would have to go out and get one of those mechanisms that will allow me to twirl my guitar in a full 360 degree circle, actually it would have to be my Ukulele.
But alas, I visit my barber/beautician tomorrow and yes, my ears will be lowered and the beard will be shortened to the point of looking like Festus on Gunsmoke or maby Gabby Hayes?, but mind you, I will have a haircut that will turn heads.

So You Wanna Have A Tag Sale?

It's been a long time since I've last blogged and it's not that I haven't had anything to write, it's just I haven't taken the time.

One item at the top of my Pet Peeve list are Tag Sales. My lovely wife and I go to many tag sales during the season which can last from April to November. I think we get some pretty good deals at these sales and I know it is a good way to get rid of items you no longer want to keep.

But......................Here's the Pet Peeve................Don't count on funding your retirement on these tag sales. These are designed to get rid of items not make a fortune. Too often we go to Tag sales that have items that are up to 50% of the original cost, especially if they are new.

Now if you want to dispose of the item and make a little money, I emphasize the word little don't charge more than 10% of the cost, no more, even less if possible. You will see your merchandise move. Just make sure the items you sell are usable.

I go to Tag sales that I call Junk Sales cause that what they have, anything from stained clothing to rusty tools to electronic items that don't work. You get the idea.

Nuff said, I'm sure I've written about this before and I'm sure I'll write about it again.
