RAIN RAIN GO AWAY
COME AGAIN IN 40 DAYS!!
Before the rains came to the NE we were approaching a drought. Well that's what the weather people say. We were having brush fires every day somewhere in our small state.
Now after a couple of weeks of rain we are like a swamp. Well, that's what I call it. Walking in our back yard is like walking on a bog. The ground is all squishy. The ground is totally saturated to the point the water comes into our house via any open or weak spot in the foundation.
I mowed the lawn for the first time this season. Not a pleasant experience at all as I was walking through either standing water or mud while I tried to tidy of the lawn a teeny bit. Yes it looks better now and I'm hoping for dryer conditions on the next mowing.
One positive thing from all the rain is that our planted flowers are flourishing and my potatoes are coming up!

Howdy there Seltab,
I am just winding down from a 50 year old celebration at our home. So how does it feel to have a nephew "50" years old???? That must make you ???????????????????????????Damn old!!!!!!!!!! We had a lot of friends and co workers, and eighbors here to help Wanda plan an institute a very good party. I sure am lucky to have so many show up and give me crap for being old. I am sure some pictures will follow. Keep in touch!
